Police ID Man Killed in Rhinelander Car Accident

Police have released the name of the driver who was killed in a Rhinelander car accident Sunday.

According to officials with the Rhinelander Police Department, 50 year-old Thomas Hoehn, of Chippewa Falls, was killed in a single-vehicle car crash shortly after 1:00 p.m. Sunday. Police say Hoehn was traveling south on County Highway N near Highway 8 in the town of Woodboro when the crash occurred.

Deputies with the Woodboro Sheriff’s Department say Hoehn lost control of his vehicle and veered off the road, striking several trees. Police say, Hoehn was the only occupant of the car.

Police continue to investigate the cause of the crash. Alcohol does not appear to be a factor.
