Man pulled over for riding lawnmower on road, arrested for drunk driving

A 69-year-old man was arrested after he was spotted driving a lawnmower on the roadway and police officials made several attempts to pull him over.

After he motioned police to go around him several times, the pulled into a Walgreens parking lot where he finally came to a stop after hitting a curb.

The man told police that he only had one beer before operating the lawnmower and that he did not know he was not allowed to drive it on the roadway. The mans blood alcohol content was then found to be over twice the legal limit.

The man then appeared in court on Tuesday where he was charged with drunk driving. This was the man’s fourth OWI charge and his license was already suspended at the time he was pulled over.
