Kia announces voluntary recall of Borrego

Kia has recently announced a voluntary recall of certain models of the 2009 Kia Borrego after a possible brake defect was found.

The potential defect was found in models of the SUV that were made from May 2, 2008 to January 20, 2009.

The potential defect arises when the brake pedal mount fails in a collision and causes the vehicle to immobilize. This would then cause the car to lose control and flip over and roll. In order to stop the car in this situation, the parking brake would have to be used.
