Federal transportation department unveils free recalled vehicles search tool online

An online search tool was recently unveiled by the U.S. Department of Transportation for people to easily find out if a particular vehicle was part of an uncompleted recall, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) reported on August 20.

By accessing www.safecar.gov/vinlookup consumers can easily find out if a particular car or motor vehicle is affected by a recall and has not been repaired. To get the results, people only need to enter the vehicle’s identification number (VIN) on the free search tool.

The NHTSA force car and motorcycle makers to update their websites for uncompleted recalls every week to make safecar.gov effective. NHTSA Deputy Administrator David Friedman stated that by having all vehicles’ VIN numbers available in the free search tool, consumers will have peace of mind that the vehicles they own or are planning to get are defect-free.

People unfortunately have to endure financial loss after being injured in accidents caused by recalled vehicles that were not repaired. When you experienced this in Rhinelander, the skilled lawyers at Habush Habush & Rottier S.C. may possibly help you get much needed financial compensation from negligent parties.
