Deputy apprehended for suspected intoxicated driving in Waukesha

A sheriff’s deputy in Waukesha County was recently arrested for allegedly driving a vehicle while intoxicated, a Journal-Sentinel article stated on January 8.

Authorities stated that 37-year-old deputy Paul Eckert was arrested after he became involved in a single-vehicle accident in Genesee before 11:00 p.m. on January 5. The off duty deputy reportedly was on his way home after attending a party when the incident happened. Eckert was temporarily re-assigned to administrative duty until the conclusion of the investigation.

Though no one was injured in the recent suspected drunken driving arrest, the Rhinelander lawyers of Habush Habush & Rottier S.C. ® know that many people are often left severely injured in accidents caused by drunken drivers. If this has happened to you or a loved one, you may be able to pursue financial compensation to cover the costs of medical expenses and other damages.
