Armstrong cited in speeding accident

BBC on February 4 stated that Lance Armstrong was cited in Aspen, Colorado after police said he was responsible for a speeding accident.

Citations of speeding and failing to report an accident were filed against the 43-year-old former cyclist after he and his girlfriend Anna Hansen were involved in a crash at a ski resort where two parked vehicles sustained damages. Charges initially were filed against Hansen after telling authorities that she was the person behind the wheel when the accident occurred. Additional information gathered by police later revealed that Lance was the driver of the vehicle. The two apparently falsified statement to avoid bad publicity.
