According to Wisconsin state police, the 22-year-old was driving a pickup truck down the roadway with one passenger inside when the one-car crash occurred. The driver failed to handle the curve of the road correctly and his truck hit a ditch causing it to flip and rollover.

The driver and passenger, also age 22, were transported to the hospital, but the driver later died of injuries sustained. The passenger’s injuries are said to be non-life threatening.

According to officials, the accident occurred on Dairyland Road when the 34-year-old Sheboygan County woman struck ice on the road and lost control of her car. This caused her vehicle to strike another that was driven by a 23-year-old man from Manitowoc County.

According to the Chicago Tribune, officials with the Department of Natural Resources have stated that these events, nearly 30 of them have been scheduled, may be changed to candlelight hiking events or completely cancelled because there is not enough snow to ski.

According to police officials, the accident occurred as a 39-year-0ld  man veered over the center line and collided with another car head-on that was driven by a 22-year-old woman.

According to the La Crosse Fire Department, a milk tanker semi truck that is believed to have been driving south on Losey Boulevard rolled over a red compact car.  The driver of the red car was pulled out of her vehicle with the jaws of life.  She was taken to a nearby hospital and treated for injuries.

Fire Chief Tom Wallerich said, ”One of the main concerns when we arrived on scene was the fuel saddle tank on the truck was right over top of the vehicle and it had extensive damage to the tank, but fortunately it stayed intact.”

Police are still investigating the incident.
