After Almond crash, 4 injured, 1 killed

Following a car accident in Almond, Wis., a 33 year-old man is dead and four others are injured.

The accident took place on Highway W in Almond, occurring at roughly 12:46 a.m, where two cars crashed into each other.

The collision left one man dead at the scene. Emergency workers attempted to save the man after trying to remove him from his vehicle, but they were unsuccessful. The other vehicle involved had four people inside, of which all four were reportedly taken to Saint Michael’s Hospital in Stevens Point. The injuries were markedly not life-endangering, but were sufficient enough to retain all four at the hospital through the morning.

The Portage County Sheriff’s Department is responsible for investigation the incident, and began doing so shortly after the crash occurred.
