2 Injured in Rhinelander Rollover Accident

Two young women from Tomahawk were hurt in a Rhinelander rollover car accident Saturday morning.

According to officials with the Tomahawk Police Department, 20 year-old Jonelle Philbrick and 19 year-old Brienna Walker were injured in a car accident shortly after 6:30 a.m. Saturday. Police say the women were trapped inside a minivan that rolled over and had to be extricated from the vehicle.

Both women were transported by helicopter to Aspirus Wausau Hospital for treatment. According to a hospital spokesperson, Philbrick is in critical condition. Walker was listed in fair condition as of Saturday afternoon.

Authorities say speed and alcohol were likely factors in the crash.

The accident remains under investigation.
