A school bus from Rhinelander crashed outside of Milwaukee Tuesday morning.

According to officials with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, a Rhinelander school bus crashed on a Milwaukee-area freeway Tuesday. Authorities say the crash happened shortly before 11:00 a.m. in the southbound lanes of Interstate 43 in Glendale, near the Green Tree Road exit.

A Wisconsin Department of Transportation accident report says that there were no children on the bus at the time of the accident. Police say there were no initial reports of any injuries.

A truck had been pulled over to the side of the road, following the crash. It is not known if the vehicle was involved in the accident.

The southbound lanes of Interstate 43 were blocked for a number of hours.
