One Injured in Rhinelander Car Accident

One person was injured Tuesday morning in a Rhinelander car accident.

According to officials with the Oneida County Sheriff’s Department, the accident occurred shortly after 9:30 a.m. Tuesday on Highway 17, just north of Highway W. Deputies say the accident happened when a driver slowed down to turn into a driveway and the next driver was not paying attention. The second driver rear-ended the car, which then crossed the centerline and collided with two other vehicles.

According to the Oneida County accident report, one person was injured in the crash. The injured driver was transported by ambulance to Ministry St. Mary’s Hospital in Rhinelander for treatment. No information on the nature or extent of the victim’s injuries was available.
