Lincoln County Car Accident Injures 3

Three people were injured Thursday afternoon in a Lincoln County car accident.

Accoridng to officials with the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, a vehicle driven by 26 year-old Zachary A. Mosentine, of Barron, was traveling south on US Highway 51, just north of US Highway 8, when the accident occurred. Police say Mosentine’s vehicle left the roadway shortly after 1:55 p.m. Police say they believe Mosentine experienced a medical emergency which caused the accident.

Mosentine and his two passengers, 29 year-old Jeremy W. Monday, of Rice Lake, and 29 year-old Mandy K. Black, of Woodruff, were injured in the crash. All three of the vehicle’s occupants were transported by ground ambulance to Ministry Sacred Heart Hospital. Mosentine and Black were treated and later released.

Monday was later flown to the trauma center at Ministry Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield. No information on the nature or extent of his injuries was available.
