Rhinelander man drives drunk in wrong lane

A Rhinelander man was caught driving drunk with an 11-year-old and a 14-year-old in the car with him.

According to police, the man took a wrong turn out of a motel parking lot in the town of Brookfield and then began driving the wrong direction on Blue Mound Road. He tried to move to the right side of the road as he was being pulled over, but failed in doing so.

The man was leaving a Brewers game, where he admitted to having a few drinks. He drank his last drink just half an hour before the incident.

After failing a field sobriety test, the man would not take a Breathalyzer test. He has been charged with operating while intoxicated with a minor in the car and was taken to Waukesha County Jail. The man is now out on bail.
