Sheboygan County announces accident report for 2011

Sheboygan County has announced their 2011 accident report. According to data in the report, there were seven fatal car accidents on the county’s roadways in 2011 and three of these were alcohol-related.

Although, the 3 to 7 ratio is lower than the county has seen historically, officials still want this number to decrease. One of the fatalities was a pedestrian accident that occurred when a 19-year-old motorcyclist struck a pedestrian and fled the scene.

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation also noted that statewide, this is the fourth year in a row that fatal crashes have been less then 600.
