Police increased drunk driving enforcement after Super Bowl

Wisconsin State Patrol increased their law enforcement over the weekend in order to prepare for drunk drivers on the roadway after the Super Bowl.

Many people attend parties to watch the Super Bowl and most have food and alcohol as party treats. This means that the number of drivers who are on the roadway that have been drinking is increased.

Statewide, the number of drunk driving arrests on Super Bowl Sunday rise nearly 30 to 40 percent compared to normal Sundays. Officers increased patrols on the road in order to help keep impaired people from getting behind the wheel.
