Stevens Point woman arrested after high-speed chase

A Stevens Point woman that was arrested for an OWI and causing a high-speed chase has now had a bond set for the case.

According to police, the incident occurred when police attempted to assist the woman when she was pulled over on the side of Highway 66. The woman sped off when the officer pulled over.

The officer followed the woman on a 12-mile chase and speeds reached nearly 110 mph. The woman struck a ditch, crossed the center median multiple times and hit a tree before stopping. Police officers measured her blood alcohol level at 0.244. A judge has now set her signature bond at $500.
