Man injured in Monroe County crash

A single car accident that took place in the vicinity of Oakdale on Monday the 18th caused a man from Camp Douglas to be injured.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Department reported that 40-year-old Chad D. Pope was driving his Ford Taurus along Funnel Road close to Grosbeak Avenue when he lost control of his vehicle. According to Pope, he was messing with the GPS navigation system in his car when he left his lane, drove into a ditch, and flew into the air, striking a tree.

After the accident, during which Pope was wearing his seat belt, he had to be removed by rescuers from the Oakdale Fire Department. He was then brought to Tomah Memorial Hospital where he underwent treatment for injuries that weren’t life threatening.

While no one else was injured in this accident, the reality is that distracted drivers cause far too many car accidents each year. Call 800-242-2874 today if you’ve been in such an accident. Our legal team at Habush Habush & Rottier S.C. may be able to help you seek compensation for your injuries and losses.
