374k Honda vehicles recalled due to potential airbag malfunction

At least 374,000 Honda vehicles were affected by a recall after an electrical issue was discovered that may cause airbag malfunction, a report on Monday, September 23 stated.

According to reports, the recall affects 318,000 2003-2004 models of Odyssey minivans and 56,000 2003 models of Honda Acura MDX sport-utility vehicles. The vehicles have an electrical defect that may trigger the airbag to launch unexpectedly.

Numerous complaints in the past months reached Honda Motors Co. where an unexpected inflation of the airbag occurred. The issue will be settled by the automaker starting this October by installing an electrical noise filter near the supplemental restraint system (SRS) of the recalled vehicles.

Although no injuries caused by this defect were reported, many people suffer serious injuries from auto defects annually. If you or a loved one have been harmed in a car accident due to a manufacturer’s negligence, you may be entitled to compensation.
