Sarona man charged in fatal drunk driving accident

A Sarona resident was recently charged for causing a deadly crash while driving intoxicated that killed two of his passengers, an article by the St. Paul Pioneer Press stated on May 22.

Reports said 26-year-old Edward Depies was charged with double homicide by intoxicated driving and one count of injury by intoxicated driving. Depies was reportedly speeding at over 120 mph when he lost control of his 2005 Ford Mustang in the one-vehicle accident. Two passengers, identified as Donald Roberts and Molly Undem, were killed in the accident. In a news release, Sheriff Terry Dryden stated that the accident was avoidable and stressed the deadly combination of drinking and driving.
