Deputy apprehended for suspected intoxicated driving in Waukesha

A sheriff’s deputy in Waukesha County was recently arrested for allegedly driving a vehicle while intoxicated, a Journal-Sentinel article stated on January 8.

Authorities stated that 37-year-old deputy Paul Eckert was arrested after he became involved in a single-vehicle accident in Genesee before 11:00 p.m. on January 5. The off duty deputy reportedly was on his way home after attending a party when the incident happened. Eckert was temporarily re-assigned to administrative duty until the conclusion of the investigation.
