Two injured in Rhinelander semi-truck accident

At least two people sustained injuries in a recent semi-truck accident that occurred near Rhinelander, WSAU reported on April 17.

Reports coming from the Oneida County Sheriff’s Department revealed that the accident happened on Highway 8 at S. Rifle Road. A minivan was struck from behind by a semi-truck whose driver failed to notice that the minivan was slowing down for a school bus. The driver claimed he did not see the brake lights due to the sun. The force of the collision forced both vehicles to veer across the road and into a ditch on the opposite side. The school bus was not involved in the accident, and no children were injured.
