Nissan Versas recalled in the upper Midwest and Northeast U.S.

Nissan recently issued a recall to 218,019 vehicles that are located in certain states to address a suspension problem that can cause the vehicles to crash, an Oct. 4 article by USA Today stated.

According to the recall submitted to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) the 2007-2012 Versa vehicles driven in states where road salts are used can corrode the front metal suspension coils. If the problem occurs, the suspension coils may break and strike the front wheels causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle. Nissan is expected to replace the front suspension coils of the vehicles driven in the Northeast and upper Midwest.
