At least three people suffered injuries in a recent accident near Haugen, Wisconsin involving eight vehicles, a November 13 article of reported.

Authorities said the multiple vehicle accident involving a semi-truck happened at about 6:20 a.m. on U.S. Highway 53. The driver of a semi-truck that reportedly jackknifed on the icy road was struck by another vehicle after getting out of his truck. He was reportedly airlifted to a hospital to seek treatment for his very serious injuries.

Two other individuals involved in the wreck sustained minor injuries, Barron County Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald stated.
