Seven students hurt in Juneau County school bus accident

At least seven students aboard a school bus were injured after the school bus they were riding in turned over in Juneau County, an article reported on January 7.

According to reports, responding authorities discovered a school bus in the ditch on Welch Prairie Road, resting on its side, after being called to the scene on January 6. Civilians who witnessed or came upon the scene of the accident helped emergency crews pull the occupants out of the school bus after the accident. Seven students were taken to Hess Memorial Hospital due to non-life threatening injuries, while other students’ parents transported them to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Authorities from the Juneau County Sheriff’s Office are working to figure out the cause of the accident.
