Convicted hit-and-run driver in Milwaukee to serve 12 years in jail

A 12 year prison sentence was given to the 21-year-old Milwaukee man who pleaded guilty on April 29 of fleeing a fatal crash scene in 2015.

The driver, Jatavious Kwan Webster, was also sentenced to six years of probation by the Milwaukee County Circuit Court following the car accident that killed Adrian McGaughy. McGaughy, who was a passenger in a vehicle driven by his girlfriend Kendra Hammond, suffered fatal injuries after Webster crashed his vehicle into Hammond’s on N. 76th Street. Webster, who appeared to be racing with another vehicle at the time of the accident, collided with Hammond’s vehicle and immediately fled the scene.
